This is a week that is designated to working the completion of your social issue project. To server as a remider, this is what i would do to ensure I am on track.
1. Read your 200 page book.
2. Complete your book report Powerpoint. Information is found on week 22.
3. Begin researching a social issue. For help determining the social issue please look at the list on week 21
4. Continue researching: After a topic is decided upon, please begin looking on the internet for the items listed on week 23
5. Continue researching: Use the databases discussed by MR. Hinckley (yellow sheet) to find 7 quality articles for your research paper and presentation.
6. Continue working on and adding to your powerpoint presentation about your social issue. (Remember, you need enough information for a 15 minute in-class presentation.
7. Begin working on the outline of your social issue research paper.
8. Remember to outline, draft, and revise.
This is the first real essay you are writing for this class and I will comb through them thoroughly. You will receive quality feedback and your writing will serve as a final exam. This should show mastery of all of the concepts we spent the first 2 quarters discussing in class.
