This is something that I can get the feel of because quite frankly, we live in a mainstream society to say the least.  Moms drive Escalades with 22s, everyone wears moccasins, and apparently the "change" was worth voting for.  This doesn't bother me because the trend will always be around whether I like it or not.  What bothers me these days is aside from dressing a certain way or associating with certain groups, people seem to want to think and act the same way as everyone else.  When people decide to think differently, when they branch off and do their own thing, that's where the good stuff comes from.  Firefighters are great and I fully respect that career path, but we could use some more scientists or something creative and different.  Honestly, I just want people to be happy doing whatever they like, even if it is finding comfort in the mainstream.  However, I know we can't be that excited about doing the same thing over and over again.  This might make me seem a little "holier than thou."
